Steel Buildings Utah, UT
Utah households own a lot of equipment — coaches, boats, trailers, side-by-sides — and along the Wasatch Front there is a real winter to put it away from. Enclosed, tall and insulated is what most orders here end up being. Drive four hours south to St. George and the same catalog is answering heat instead. Delivery and installation are included in the price.
RVs, boats and side-by-sides. Utah locks them in steel. Galvanized steel, delivered and installed across Utah. Wasatch snow, St. George heat. Utah steel is built for both.
What Utah buys.
A spread across the building types Utah leads with. Delivery and installation are included, and the specification shifts with what your county requires.

The Front, the mountains and the desert
Utah is 350 miles top to bottom and the winter effectively disappears on the way down. Three parts of the state, three different specifications.
The Wasatch Front
Where most of the state lives, under mountains that take serious snow. Snow load enters every certification here, and enclosed, insulated shop and RV space is what people actually order.
The mountain counties
The heaviest roof figures in the state. Snow load decides gauge, roof style and anchoring together, and a straight or vertical roof is what gets a load off the building rather than storing it until spring.
Southern Utah
Desert: intense sun, big day-to-night swings and effectively no snow. Open covers and shade come back into their own down here, and a lighter panel color is the cheapest thing you can do about summer.
What moves a Utah price
Four decisions. Two are set by the snow figure, two by what you are putting inside.
Snow load, and which county
The biggest variable in the state. A mountain-county building is materially heavier than the same footprint in St. George — heavier gauge, different roof, more anchoring. That is engineering rather than markup, and it is why we ask for the county.
Eave height
A fifth-wheel, a coach with an A/C shroud or a boat on a trailer all fail on height rather than length. Measure the tallest point, add clearance and buy the height once — going taller later is a different building.
Insulation and closing it in
If the point is a usable shop or protected storage through a Wasatch winter, the walls and the insulation are the purchase. It is the upgrade Utah buyers most often wish they had specified at order time.
The pad is not ours
We do not do groundwork or foundations. Frost depth matters along the Front and in the mountains — get the pad engineered and priced locally before the install is scheduled.
Somewhere to put what you own
Utah's ranking leads with enclosed RV storage and shop buildings. Six types, in the order they come up here — start from what is going inside and how tall it is.
Still looking for the right building? Tell us the job.
Most people know what has to go inside long before they know which building that is. Tell us what it has to do, and we'll match it — from an open carport to a fully enclosed commercial span.
Permits across 29 counties
Along the Front the cities permit thoroughly, and in the mountain counties the snow figure is the part of the review that changes the building. Find yours below.

Inside city limits
Salt Lake City, West Valley City, Provo, Ogden, Sandy, Layton and their neighbors each run their own permitting. Expect a real review and expect setbacks to be examined closely on a platted lot.
- 02
Unincorporated county land
The county building department takes over, and the mountain counties are the strictest in the state because of what winter puts on a roof. Ask for the snow figure first.
Either way, what we hand you
Engineer-stamped drawings for any jurisdiction that requires them. Confirm the figures yours enforces, tell us what they are, and we certify the building to them with the cost of certification quoted up front.
Find the county you're building in.
Search a city or a county and we'll tell you which one you're in and who issues the permit there. No form, no email.

* Design wind speed and ground snow load are declared by each jurisdiction — the International Residential Code prints both blank for the local authority to fill in (Table R301.2).
Where we deliver in Utah.
This is the list we publish, not a boundary. A town on it is certainly covered; a town missing from it is a question rather than a no. Search for yours below, and if it is not here, one call settles it before you spend anything.
Utah, specifically.
The five or six things people ask before they order, answered for this state rather than in general.
