Two Car Garages

Two vehicles, room to work, and everything behind a lock.

A two-car garage is the one most families actually need — but the number that decides whether it works isn't the two cars, it's the space between and around them. Park two full-size vehicles in a tight 18 ft and you're squeezing sideways out of the door. Give yourself 24 and both doors swing open, you walk the perimeter, and there's a wall left for the workbench.

That's the difference between parking and a real garage. Ours are fully enclosed steel — one wide roll-up or two separate doors, a walk door between the bays, windows for daylight — bolted and braced to your county's wind and snow loads. Not a wood two-car that termites find in ten years, and not an open cover that leaves everything exposed. Four walls, a door that locks, and the room to make it more than a place to park.

Need it wider, longer, or taller?

These are our most-ordered doubles — but the size that fits your two vehicles and your lot is a quick custom build. Design a footprint to the inch, or talk it through with a specialist.

Two bays, one build

More than a place to park two cars.

The reason people enclose a double instead of covering it: the second use. Once it locks and seals, half the garage stops being parking and starts being something else.

01
Two vehicles + a workbench wall

At 24 ft wide both cars fit with doors open and a full bench wall to spare — the layout most people picture when they say 'garage'.

02
One car, one workshop

Park on one side, build on the other. A 20×30 gives a vehicle bay up front and a 10-ft shop bay behind it.

03
Home gym + daily driver

Rubber mats, a rack, and a mirror down one bay; the SUV in the other. Insulated walls keep it usable through the seasons.

04
Two-door drive-through

A roll-up on each end lets you pull a mower deck or a project car straight through instead of backing out.

05
Toys and the tow vehicle

The truck plus the side-by-side, the jet skis, or the motorcycles — all locked under one roof instead of scattered.

06
Overflow the house can't hold

Seasonal storage, a second fridge and freezer, the kids' bikes — a sealed double keeps it dry and out of the weather.

18 vs 20 vs 24

Why 24 ft is the two-car size people don't regret.

All three fit two cars on paper. In real life the extra feet decide whether you can open both doors, walk around the vehicles, and keep a wall for storage. Here's the honest trade-off.

How big is a two-car garage?

A two-car steel garage runs 18 to 24 feet wide. 18–20 ft is the minimum that fits two vehicles; 24 ft is the recommended residential double — two full-size cars with doors open and room to walk between them.

Length sets how much workshop or storage you get behind the vehicles: 20–21 ft is parking-only, while 30 ft leaves a deep rear bay. Search or scroll the double sizes below and hover any one to see the two-vehicle layout it fits, its SKU, and its price.

One size note worth knowing: at 26 ft the frame steps up to a heavier triple-truss build — that's where a double becomes a three-car.

Two ways to pay

Own it sooner, pay it monthly.

A two-car garage is a substantial build, which is exactly why we make the payment easy — a little down and financing from 6.9% APR, or no-credit-check Rent-to-Own if you'd rather skip the credit pull.

Two-car metal garage installed on a concrete pad with two roll-up doors
Delivery & installation, included

Delivered, erected, and sealed on your slab.

Our crew handles the full build on your prepared, level site — frame, panels, doors, and trim. Because a double is fully enclosed, a poured concrete slab is strongly recommended: it seals the doors, keeps the space dry, and gives us the strongest anchors. We'll spec the anchor type to your surface so a certified build stays certified.

  • Anchors for concrete, asphalt, or ground — included
  • Certified builds: engineer-stamped for your county's wind & snow loads
  • 12- or 14-gauge galvanized steel — carries our 20-year rust warranty
  • Factory-direct pricing with no middleman markup

We are building a barndominium and they delivered the shell on schedule. Our contractor said the framing was straighter than most stick-built shells he sees.

Loafing shed for the horses showed up exactly when they said it would. The crew leveled and anchored on uneven ground and didn't try to charge extra.
