Tall enough for the coach, sealed enough to store it.
An RV lives or dies on two numbers: how tall the door is and how deep the building runs. Get the height wrong by a foot and the most expensive thing you own sits in the driveway baking under UV, or you're paying a storage lot every month to keep it somewhere it fits. An RV garage solves both — a full-height roll-up door and eave built around your rig's exact height, and a length that clears the coach with the ladder still on the back.
Fully enclosed steel means the motorhome comes out of the sun, the hail, and the winter instead of under a tarp that flaps loose by February. Class C's clear a 12-foot door; big Class A diesels need 14 feet, sometimes more. We build the height to your rig, add a walk door and windows so it doubles as a workshop, and certify it to your county's wind and snow loads. Park the RV, lock the door, walk away.
Tall garages, sized to your rig.
Each is a starting point — set the eave and door height to your coach, add length for the tow vehicle, put in a walk door and windows, then pick your colors. Built to your exact rig.

Know your rig's height and length?
Measure your RV at its tallest point (A/C units count) and add clearance — then a specialist will spec the door and eave around it. Design a custom footprint or talk it through with us.
Get the door height right, or nothing else matters.
The single most common RV-garage mistake is a door that's an inch too short. Measure your coach at its tallest point — including roof A/C — and size the opening from there. Rough guide by class:
Four steel walls and a full-height roll-up door mean the most expensive thing you own is behind a lock — not sitting in the driveway for anyone to walk up to.
Enclosed steel takes the rig fully out of the sun, hail, and winter — no tarp flapping loose by February, no snow load sitting on the roof membrane.
Class C's clear a 12-ft door; big Class A diesels need 14 feet or more. We size the opening and eave to your coach so it rolls in with clearance to spare.
Insulate the walls and the enclosed space holds temperature — the coach stays out of hard freezes and baking heat, and you can heat it to work inside in winter.
Add width or a lean-to and the same sealed building stores the rig and gives you a bench, a tool wall, and a walk door beside it.
The tall, deep, lockable footprint that swallows a motorhome will just as easily hold a big boat on the trailer — or one of each, out of sight and out of the weather.
Height, door, and length — spec them in this order.
An RV garage is really a sizing problem. Nail these three and the build works; guess at them and it doesn't. Here's how to think about each.
Eave height first
This sets the tallest door you can fit. 14 ft eave for most Class A/C rigs, 16 ft for the big diesel pushers. Measure your roof A/C, then add clearance.
Door height second
The opening runs about 2 ft under the eave. A 12-ft door suits many Class C's; 14 ft is the safe call for a tall Class A. This is the number people get wrong.
Length third
Clear the coach plus the ladder and spare — a 40-ft rig wants ~45 ft of building. Add more if a tow vehicle or workshop shares the bay.
Then width & extras
Wide enough to open the RV's slide-outs and walk the sides, plus a walk door, windows, and insulation to make it a usable space, not just a box.
How big is an RV garage?
An RV garage is defined by height, not width — a 14- to 16-foot eavewith a full-height roll-up door, long enough to clear your coach end to end. That's what separates it from an ordinary garage.
Widths run 18 ft and up so the slide-outs open and you can walk the sides; lengths run long to swallow the rig plus a tow vehicle. Search or scroll the eave heights and lengths below — hover any size to see the rig it swallows, its SKU, and its price.
Because rigs vary so much, most RV garages are spec'd to the individual coach — treat the sizes here as your starting point.

Tall builds, raised by our crew.
A 14–16 ft eave is a serious raise, so our crew handles the full install on your prepared, level site — frame, tall panels, the oversized roll-up door, and trim. A poured slab is required at this height: it carries the load and seals the big door. We'll spec the anchors and certification to your site.
- Anchors for concrete, asphalt, or ground — included
- Certified builds: engineer-stamped for your county's wind & snow loads
- 12- or 14-gauge galvanized steel — carries our 20-year rust warranty
- Factory-direct pricing with no middleman markup
Owners say it best.
Real, verified Google reviews from owners who bought their building from us, straight from our business profile.
View all reviewsWe are building a barndominium and they delivered the shell on schedule. Our contractor said the framing was straighter than most stick-built shells he sees.
Loafing shed for the horses showed up exactly when they said it would. The crew leveled and anchored on uneven ground and didn't try to charge extra.
Hurricane-rated anchors and engineer-stamped drawings were ready when our county asked. Permit went through the first time.
