The classic barn look, at the lowest price on the lot.
The regular-style barn is the one you picture when someone says 'barn' — the rounded, bowed roofline with horizontal panels running the length of the building. It's the oldest, most recognizable barn profile, and it's the cheapest barn we build, full stop. If the job is hay, equipment, or general farm storage and the weather is fair, your money goes furthest here.
Two honest things to know. First, the horizontal panels lap along the roof, so debris and standing water can collect on the seams — which is why the regular roof is a mild-climate product, not a snow-country one. Second, the curved design caps out around 30 feet wide; go wider and you'll need a vertical roof. Inside those lines, it's a lot of covered steel for the money: a 30×40 gives you roughly 1,200 square feet — enough to stack a few hundred small bales or shelter the tractor and the implements.
Regular-roof barns, value first.
Every one is a starting point — set the width and length, open it up or close it in, add doors. The most budget-friendly barns we make.

Want a size that isn't listed?
These are our most-ordered regular-roof barns, but every one is custom. Design a footprint to the inch — or, if you're in snow country or need more than 30 ft of width, ask about a vertical roof.
The budget barn, used right.
A regular roof isn't a lesser barn — it's the correct, money-saving spec for the right job and the right weather. Here's where it shines.
A 30×40 stacks a few hundred small square bales or a couple rows of rounds — dry, off the ground, and cheap to cover.
The tractor, the mower, the sprayer, out of the sun and rain under the lowest-cost roof on the lot.
The catch-all barn for a working property — open it up or wall it in, whatever the season needs.
Light rain and little snow mean the horizontal-panel roof does its job for years. No need to pay for snow-country steel.
The cheapest way into a real steel barn — the entry point when you need coverage now and want to add on later.
Close in a few sides for a low-cost animal shelter, or leave it open as a run-in — the frame adapts either way.
Where a regular roof fits — and when to step up.
Same steel frame underneath; the roof is where you match the barn to your weather and your width. Regular is the value pick, but it's honest to know its limits.
Regular roof
Curved eaves, horizontal panels. The lowest-priced barn and the classic look — right for mild climates and widths up to about 30 ft.
A-frame
A peaked, boxed-eave roofline that looks like a house and sheds rain better. The step up when appearance matters.
Vertical roof
Panels run ridge-to-eave so snow and water slide straight off — and it's required past about 30 ft wide.
How big is a regular-style barn?
Regular-roof barns run up to about 30 feet wide— that's the cap on the curved, horizontal-panel design — and any length in increments. Widths of 24 and 30 ft are the workhorses.

Owners say it best.
Real, verified Google reviews from owners who bought their building from us, straight from our business profile.
View all reviewsWe are building a barndominium and they delivered the shell on schedule. Our contractor said the framing was straighter than most stick-built shells he sees.
Loafing shed for the horses showed up exactly when they said it would. The crew leveled and anchored on uneven ground and didn't try to charge extra.
Hurricane-rated anchors and engineer-stamped drawings were ready when our county asked. Permit went through the first time.
